The last portrait of the women’s national team in the year 2025 could not have been more beautiful.

Playing at the Municipal Stadium of Aveiro in early December, Brazil defeated Portugal by a score of 5-0. The goals of the team led by coach Arthur Elias were scored by Gabi Zanotti, Ludmila, Dudinha, Isabela and Bia Zaneratto.

With the comfortable victory, the Brazilian team managed to recover from the 3-1 defeat to Norway, in late November at the Estadio Municipal Ciudad de La Línea, located in the province of Cádiz, Spain.

The defeat to the Spanish team ended an unbeaten run of eight games for the green and yellow team.

Against Portugal, Brazil needed only 56 seconds to open the scoring. After receiving a pass on the right wing, Dudinha advanced and crossed into the area, where Gabi Zanotti headed beautifully past goalkeeper Inês Pereira.

Head coach Arthur Elias’ team continued to dominate and extended their lead in the 16th minute when Gabi Zanotti played a through ball to Ludmila, who accelerated to the byline and placed a shot into the back of the net.

Realizing that the left side of Portugal’s defense was the path to goals, the Brazilian players continued to force plays down that flank. And it was in this way that the green and yellow team scored their third goal. Ludmila was again released down the right side of Brazil’s attack and reached the byline, where, instead of shooting, she passed low into the middle of the area, where Dudinha simply had to tap it in to score.

After halftime, coach Arthur Elias began to make some substitutions, and Brazil’s offensive intensity decreased. However, even so, the Brazilian team managed to extend their lead.

First, from a set piece in the 27th minute of the second half. Luany lifted the ball into the area from a corner kick and Isabela scored with a header. Then, in the 44th minute, Bia Zaneratto extended the lead with a penalty kick.
